Before fleeing, the assailants chopped off the hair of the victim Sikh and put chilli in his eyes.

The victim Sikh has been identified as Gurbaksh Singh. He is Granthi in a gurudwara. It is being told that some people surrounded him thinking that he was a Hindu priest. As soon as the bike was stopped, the assailants pulled Gurbaksh aside and started beating him up. The attackers, who threw chillies in his eyes, started talking about cutting off his neck.

Gurbaksh Singh, while talking to the media, said, "They were talking about cutting my neck.'' I said, "Why are you killing me?" I am the priest of the gurudwara. Then he called someone. He told him that he was the priest of the gurudwara. According to Singh, after talking to Jumma, the attackers started talking to each other and said that if he is a man from the gurudwara, cut his hair. That is enough. The attackers then fled threatening him. According to the victim, the number of attackers was 5.
