Rajasthan government to give government jobs to Kanhaiya Lal’s sons

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday decided to give government jobs to the sons of  Kanhaiyalal who was beheaded in Udaipur in Talibani kind of attack on June 28.

Rajasthan's Chief  Minister Ashok Gehlot,  In his tweet, said, "Taking a sensitive decision, the cabinet has decided to appoint Yash Teli and Tarun Teli, sons of Shri Kanhaiyalal Teli, in government service."

Gehlot further added, "There is no other source of livelihood in the family of the deceased. If the dependents are given appointment, their life will go smooth. The family will get financial and mental help.

Kanhaiya Lal Teli was murdered at his shop after he shared remarks supportive of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on social media. The Rajasthan government had previously given the family a check for Rs. 50 lakh as compensation and now announced job for his two sons better future.

Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh said relaxation has been given in the rules for the appointment. This appointment will be provided under Rule 6C of Rajasthan Subordinate Office Clerk Service (Amendment) Rules, 2008 and 2009.

The state cabinet also removed salary anomalies of state employees, approved a policy for issuing government advertisements to news websites, and formed the Rajasthan College Education Society for better management of new state colleges.

A one-time special ex-gratia amount of ₹ 21 crores has been approved for the rehabilitation of people living in villages in the submerged areas of ​​the Takli Medium Irrigation Project.

The cabinet also approved the proposal of the Information and Public Relations Department to issue a new policy guideline for issuing advertisements on news websites.
