Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan will give jobs to the players without any competitive examination. Players will be given jobs based on their medals. The State Sports Department has sought applications from the players for the job. Initially, 465 players will be given jobs. State Sports Minister Ashok Chandna says that the process of giving out-of-turn jobs to the best performing players will continue. The 2014 medalist players are not included in this, they will be given jobs in the next phase. Ashok Chandna told that a total of 465 players of the state have been brought into this realm for the first time. All these players are medalists after 2016.

According to the media report, the players who get the out-of-turn appointment have been placed in different categories. Olympic or Para Olympic medalists, World Cup, World Championship, Asian Commonwealth Cricket World Cup Championship winner or runner-up are placed in the first category i.e. 'A' category. Medal winners of Asian Championship and South Asian Games have been kept in 'B' category. In the 'C' category, the winners of the National Games and National Para Games medals, Vijet and Ranji Trophy have been included. These include 10 in the 'A' category, 13 in the 'B' category and 443 in the 'C' category.

Asian medalist players of 2014 are not being given jobs in the first phase, citing the intricacies in the rules. They will be given a job in the next financial year. The Sports Minister said that the law of jobs was brought in the year 2016. But even after this, the previous government did not give the job to a single player.
