JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that Aadhaar cardholders aged 18 to 60 who live in the local body area will be registered under the plan after the new rules for the implementation of the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme were approved.

"The work will be approved and implemented through committees at the state/district/body level to have the works done that are permitted in the scheme. For getting work approved and executed of a general character, the material cost and remuneration cost ratio will be 25:75, and for works of a particular nature, the material cost and remuneration cost ratio will be 75:25. According to the MGNREGS, payment for the task would be paid into the labourers' bank accounts within 15 days "On Sunday, he stated.

"Apart from that, workers will have access to amenities at work, as well as provisions in the system for resolving complaints and conducting social audits. For the scheme's administration, a planning cell will be set up at the level of the Department of Local Bodies or body, with various officers/personnel appointed on deputation/contractual basis. In addition, according to the MGNREGS, the administrative expenses for the proposed scheme will be limited to 6% of Rs 800 crore "Gehlot stated.

It is worth noting that whereas the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Work Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) was established to create employment in rural regions, this scheme was established with the goal of providing employment in metropolitan areas.
