Jaipur: Ashok Gehlot government in the state will encourage people reporting tax evasion (Tax evasion) in Ra Rajasthan. For this, the Informer Incentive Scheme, run by the State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence ( SDRI), is also being prepared to be implemented in other revenue-generating departments. CM Ashok Gehlot has approved the implementation of the scheme in all state government departments related to revenue generation.

Under the scheme, the general public, as well as government personnel or officials, will be entitled to incentives as informers. CM Ashok Gehlot had announced in this regard in the State Budget 2021-22. Under the scheme, information related to tax evasion can be provided through an online portal or a 24x7 telephone helpline. At the same time, any authority can be informed privately or through other means of communication such as letters, phones, e-mails, CDs, DVDs, pen drives, SMS, or WhatsApp messages. The interim incentive to the informer will be capped at a maximum of Rs 1 lakh in cash, while the final incentive will have a maximum limit of Up to Rs 25 lakh.

At present, different informer incentive schemes are being run in various revenue-related departments. These various informer incentive schemes currently in progress in various departments of the State Government like Commercial Tax, Transport, Mines and Geology, Registration and Stamp and Excise, etc. will be included in the proposed scheme. The inclusion of different schemes will also bring uniformity in the cash incentives payable to informers.
