Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has become cautious about the Gujjar agitation happening on 1 November. The state government has now decided to deal with the reservation agitators strictly. Under this, it has been decided to impose 'National Security Act' on the people who affect the peace system. The Home Department has also issued orders in this regard to the District Magistrates of Bharatpur, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Tonk, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Karauli.

The Home Department has given powers to these District Collectors to use NSA. After the permission of the Governor, the Home Department has issued its notification. The NSA law is known as the National Security Act, 1980. In this law, provisions have been made for the safety of the country. Where the Central Government, the State Government has the full authority to do any such activity or is suspected to be done by any person or group of persons in the country or state or is confident of doing anything. The activities may obstruct the safety of the country and the citizens of the country, or the country may or may not be able to run smoothly, then the order of arrest of every person under this law shall be made by the Central Government, and passed by the State Government.

It is believed that the Congress government under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot of Rajasthan can use police force to crush the Gujjar movement and there can be mass arrests.
