Jaipur: Drivers of roadways buses driving recklessly now will be heavier. Due to the negligence of bus drivers, Rajasthan Roadways has introduced GPS system. It is often seen that the drivers drive the vehicle very carelessly, which threatens the safety of passengers and there is a fear of accident.

In view of all this, Rajasthan Roadways has introduced GPS system for the safety of passengers and monitoring of buses. This will enable trekking of three thousand roadways buses of the state. For this, Rajasthan Roadways has sent a DPR of Rs 16 crore to the Ministry of Road Transport Highway (MoRTH) through the state government. This system will be installed in roadways buses from Nirbhaya Fund. Of this, nine crore rupees will be spent on MoRTH and the remaining amount will be from Roadways.

The recently joined 875 buses in the roadways fleet have GPS systems. They are being monitored by Roadways. Their route and speed are also being monitored by the IT cell. CMD himself is taking reports of buses every day. Apart from this, the action is being taken on getting Overspeed and other mistakes.
