Jaipur: A case of threatening a minor rape victim and her family members has come to light in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The family members of Irfan Sohail, the accused who raped a class 10 student in Nagaur's Kuchaman town six months ago, have threatened the victim, her father and other family members to be ready to face the consequences if they do not compromise.

According to media reports, two days ago, the family members of the accused had reached the victim's house to compromise on the rape case. When the girl's family did not agree even after putting a lot of pressure, they abused the victim and her father and threatened that the consequences would not be right. On the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against the family members of the accused at Kuchaman police station. Irfan Sohail son of Abdul Hakim, who is accused of rape in the case, is already lodged in Merta jail.

The victim's father said that six months ago, on September 21, his daughter had filed a case against Irfan's son Abdul Hakim resident of Kuchaman under the Pocso Act and the SC/ST Act. In this case, the police arrested Irfan and sent him to Merta jail. Since then, Irfan's family members have been threatening him to come home and compromise in the case. Two days ago, Irfan's sisters Zeenat, Bilkis and Intakhaf came to his house and started threatening for a compromise. If he did not agree, the trio abused him and his daughter and threatened them with consequences. The victim's father says that if his daughter does not get justice, he will give his life.

Six months ago, a 17-year-old minor girl had told the Kuchaman police that when she was studying in class 10 three years ago, she was identified with a boy named Irfan Sohail on the way to school. Irfan had also gifted her a mobile phone on the pretext of marriage. He then took her several times to the hotel, where he raped the minor several times. During this, the accused also made obscene videos of her, on the basis of which he blackmail the girl and rape her. The victim has alleged that the accused has also shown obscene pictures of the victim to his friends.
