Ashok Gehlot Government of Rajasthan, the state of the country, has decided to give a pension of 1500 rupees per month to the victims of silicosis. In this regard, the Social Justice and Empowerment Department has issued orders on Monday. In the state, 22 thousand silicosis sufferers will get the benefit.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced in the budget to give pension to silicosis victims. Rajasthan is the first state in the country to implement a silicosis policy. This policy was implemented in the month of October this year. According to the policy, the victim will be given a lump sum of five lakh rupees. Now the order for pension has also been issued. In an order issued by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, eligibility for a pension has been determined. According to this, the victim should be a resident of Rajasthan.

The workers of other states who have suffered from silicosis disease while working in Rajasthan will also be entitled to the pension. For this, it is necessary that the victim should have a certificate issued by the authorized medical officer to suffer from silicosis disease. If the person suffering from silicosis is eligible for other social security pensions, then he will get a pension in that category which will be more profitable of the two. The person suffering from silicosis will not have any compulsion of income limit for sanctioning pension. The pension will be automatically approved as soon as the Silicosis victim's certificate is issued.
