Jaipur: A case of rape of a nine-year-old innocent was reported in Rajasthan. The Jaipur court has set an example by pronouncing the sentence in just nine days in connection with the rape of a nine-year-old girl. The court sentenced the 25-year-old accused to 20 years in jail for conviction in a rape case. The special POCSO court has ruled within five working days.

According to the report, Special Judge of the Special POCSO Court in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Vikas Kumar Khandelwal heard the case of nine-year-old Innocent. The special judge pronounced the sentence within five working days when the accused Kamlesh Meena was found guilty during the hearing. The special POCSO court has also slapped a fine of Rs 2 lakh on Kamlesh Meena. CM Ashok Gehlot also praised the court for delivering the verdict at such a high speed. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur South Harendra Kumar said that the court gave its verdict within five working days of filing the fine. The fine was also submitted within five working days of the case being registered.

Jaipur's POCSO Court No.3 has sentenced Kamlesh Meena to 20 years in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh for conviction in the rape case. According to the information, the incident is of the evening of September 26. On the same night, Kotkhwara police had registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act. The accused was arrested by the police the very next day.
