Jaipur: A cousin took his sister studying in Jaipur to the hotel and raped her. Later, the accused raped the victim for five consecutive years, threatening to discredit him after telling anyone about the incident. The police have started investigating on the basis of the victim's statements.

The 24-year-old girl has lodged a complaint that she had come to Jaipur to study in 2014 and is currently pursuing her B.Ed. education. The victim's father lives in Assam and mother in Bharatpur. Here she is studying at the Girls Hostel located in Gandhinagar area. According to media reports, the victim alleges that her cousin Sumit Bharti used to come to the market to get goods and other necessary materials. In the year 2014, he once took an excuse to get the goods and took him to the market, asking him to eat something from there, he raped the victim in the room.

After this incident, the arrival of the accused increased and he raped the victim showing fear of slander. The accused recently came on 18 December and took the victim to a hotel behind WTP and raped her there as well. When the victim explained to the accused that the incident should never recur again in the future, he was infuriated and showed fear of defaming, after which the victim reached the police station and registered a case. Police is currently investigating the case.
