Jaipur: A woman was brutally murdered after being robbed in Rajasthan. The BJP has been attacking the Congress government in the state since the murder. It may be recalled that the robbers had slit her leg with an axe and killed her after robbing married woman's silver ornaments in Khatpura village, 40 km from Jaipur, in broad daylight. The woman was wearing two silver bracelets weighing 1.25 kg in addition to gold earrings.

Talking about the murder, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shankar Dutt Sharma said, "30 teams along with about 400 policemen have been deployed to trace the killers in the case. This includes four additional SP, eight deputy SP, 15 circle inspectors and two companies of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC).'' He further said, "The police team is investigating the entire area for weapons or any other clues used in the murder. Dog Squad, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, cyber team etc. With this, Rs 8 lakh and a dairy booth have been announced to the victim's family as compensation.''

BJP leader and former State CM Vasundhara Raje has hit out at the Gehlot government over the incident saying, "The brutal murder of a woman for robbing her jewellery at Khatpura in Jamwaramgarh is shameful for the state government. The Congress Government should reply as to why the law and order situation in the State has become so helpless.''
