The Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau arrested labour commissioner Prateek Jhajharia and two others in connection with a corruption case. The bureau held accused on Friday night.
The commissioner was caught red-handed by bureau assigned team taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh. The bribe was allegedly collected from labour officers, the bureau's Director General B L Soni informed. The lumpsum amount was collected by Amit Sharma, and officer on special duty at the economic advisory council Ravi Meena. The accused commissioner Jhajharia is an officer of the India Post and is currently on deputation in the labour department.
Now, the Rajasthan team has started conducting searches at their residences. The accused are under detention.
