Police and miscreants clash in Jaipur, two policemen injured in firing

Jaipur: An encounter took place between a notorious crook and Jaipur police on Wednesday evening in the Bagru police station area of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Several rounds were fired from both sides and two soldiers were injured in the firing by the miscreants. Police cordoned off and arrested notorious crook Jitendra alias Jeetu and another of his accomplices. The injured jawans were immediately shifted to SMS hospital from the rural area where the two jawans are undergoing treatment in the Trauma ICU ward.

The Bagru police had received information that the notorious crook Jitendra alias Jeetu along with another of his accomplices had been spreading panic in the area for the past few days. He has been firing outside the hotel demanding ransom from hotel operators. Jitendra alias Jeetu opened fire outside Hotel Lucky on the highway of Bagru police station area on August 13 and called the hotel operator after creating panic in the area and demanded a ransom of one crore rupees.

On the basis of secret information received from the informant, the police team today surrounded Jitendra alias Jeetu and his associates near Asalpur gate when they saw themselves surrounded and their accomplices started firing at the police. In retaliation, two police personnel Tarachand and Chhotu Lal were injured in the exchange of fire. The police team surrounded the miscreants and brought them to the Bagru police station where top police officials are interrogating the miscreants.
