Jaipur: The RCDF is taking major initiatives to roll back the polythene used in the supply of Saras milk for environmental protection. The proposal is being prepared at the RCDF level. M.D. It could possibly be implemented in September after getting permission from Vina Pradhan. Under the proposal, booth agents will purchase empty bags of milk at Rs.10 per kg from consumers.

Instead, booth operators will get Rs.12 per kg along with a commission of Rs 2. The collecting of empty bags from the Saras booth will be done by the milk supplier distributor in the concerned area. The distributor will deposit the bags in the dairy. Instead, they will also be given some commission. In lieu of collecting bags, it is proposed to provide free fork on behalf of dairies to the Saras Booth operators. At booths, consumers can submit bags from 1st to 8th of each month.

The bags collected in dairy will be handed over to the recycling company through tender. The dairies will then have to set up recycling plants. Bhilwara Dairy is currently supplying recycled bags of Saras Milk to a Delhi-based company. The plant will be set up later in the dairy.
