New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Chetan Sakaria's father has died of corona. Chetan's father had been fighting the epidemic for a few days. After the postponement of IPL 2021, Chetan reached Bhavnagar in Gujarat where his father was undergoing treatment. The pacer had invested the money he received this season of IPL in his father's treatment. He only came to know last week that his father was fighting the corona.

The bowler had said he would invest his father's entire earnings from this season of IPL for better treatment. Rajasthan bought the player for Rs 1.2 crore. He took 7 wickets in 7 matches this season, including big wickets like Dhoni, Suresh Raina, KL Rahul. Speaking of Sakaria's family, his father once used to run auto vehicle for earning. 

The situation in India has become uncontrollable from corona. More than four lakh corona virus cases have been coming up daily for the past four days and nearly 4,000 people are dying. Just two days ago, the sister of Indian cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy died of corona virus. It was only two weeks after Veda's mother died of the same disease.
