Jaipur: Pre-monsoon showers lashed the capital on Tuesday morning. The rain started at 6 a.m. and intermittently till 11 a.m., there was no respite from the intense rain. The 1.6 inches of rain lashed the collectorate and the capital's drainage system in the well. In one-and-a-half inches of rain, the drainages were overflowing and the roads were turned into a sewer.

According to information, vehicles were jammed and city dwellers remained stranded for hours after the rain stopped due to flooding on roads. In addition, Sanganer received 14 and Amer 10 mm of rain. The Masam department had been on alert for three consecutive days in the capital Jaipur following heavy rain. Despite this, the administration did not take it seriously, and in the first rain, water started flowing on the roads overflowing. Roads over-flowing, jamming in more areas including Gurjar's Thadi, Tanek Rade, Sikar Rade, C Scheme, Pratapnagar, Sanganer, Jhetewara, Jagatpura Flyover.

At the same time, the rain also brought down the day temperature in the city. Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius. By 11 a.m., there was sunshine in Daephar and after 4 p.m., Masam turned around. The drizzle continued till late in the evening.
