New Delhi: Jaypee Nadda has been made the acting national president of the BJP. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Parliamentary Board on Monday. After Amit Shah joined Modi's cabinet, efforts were being made that Nadda could soon get the responsibility.

After the Parliamentary Board meeting, Rajnath Singh said, the BJP led by Amit Shah won several elections. But, when the Prime Minister gave him the responsibility of the post of Home Minister, he said that I will no longer be able to take the responsibility of the BJP President with all sincerity. He talked about giving responsibility for this post to others. The meeting then decided that Jaypee Nadda will be the acting President of the party.
