New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated 27 infra projects of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) online on Tuesday. He dedicated 24 bridges and 3 roads constructed on roads leading to LAC and LoC. Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh said, "BRO has been instrumental in the development of many areas including security, roads, tunnels." The bridges dedicated by Rajnath Singh include 9 bridges in Jammu and Kashmir, 5 in Ladakh, 5 in Himachal Pradesh, 3 in Uttarakhand, 1 each in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

On the other hand, 1-1 road has been constructed in Ladakh, Kashmir and Sikkim. Above all, BRO has built a Class 70 bridge in Sikkim. With the help of which Indian army tanks can be transported to the Doka La area. BRO has laid a network of roads and bridges to facilitate the movement of the Indian Army to LAC and LoC. So far this year, BRO has completed 102 infrastructure projects.

Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh said, "Today, 27 projects of roads and bridges constructed by BRO have been dedicated simultaneously. On this very important occasion, I am very happy to be among you all. I congratulate all the countrymen, including the local people concerned, BRO and dedicate these projects to the nation. By taking up the history of human civilization, we will find that the same communities, societies or nations have been able to guide the world, who have developed their own paths strongly.''
