New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday strongly objected to the remarks made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the farmers' movement on agricultural laws last month, saying that the leader of a country should not speak on regard to India's internal affairs.

Rajnath Singh has said in an interview, "First of all, I would like to say about the PM of any country that comment should not be made regarding India's internal affairs. India does not need any external intervention. We will resolve the issues ourselves. This is an internal issue. No country in the world has the right to comment on India's internal affairs." Rajnath Singh said, "India is not any other country that anyone can say anything."

When he was questioned about criticism and Justin Trudeau's remarks in some countries, he said that efforts were made to confuse our peasant brothers and the same is going on. He requested the farmers to discuss all the three laws and said that the government would not take any action against their interests. Justin Trudeau had expressed concern over the agitation of farmers in India against three agricultural laws. Speaking via Facebook video of Guru Nanak on 551st, Justin Trudeau said that Canada will always be at the forefront of protecting the right to peaceful protest.
