Rajnath Singh talks about India-China border dispute in Parliament's lower house

New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has responded to tensions with China over LAC in Ladakh in the lower house of Parliament. The Union defence minister said in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that China has been gathering its army on the line of actual control (LAC). He said that the army has also been deployed by the Indian side taking counter-steps. Singh said that he cannot give more information at this point of time.

Rajnath Singh said that he had visited LAC and met brave soldiers. He also gave a message that all the countrymen are standing with their brave soldiers. He said that "I have also spent some time with my mighty soldiers by visiting Ladakh.  I would like to tell the speaker that I have also felt the indomitable courage, the valour of the soldiers. Rajnath Singh also mentioned the martyrdom of Col. Santosh Babu and his 20 accomplices in the Lok Sabha".

Rajnath Singh further said that "The border issue between India and China has not yet been solved. China does not consider the determination of the soldiers, while India believes that the border determination is fully established and based on geographical principles".
