Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the India Defence Aviation Exposition (IDAX-24) in Jodhpur on Thursday. The event, scheduled from September 12-14, is organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and aims to highlight advancements in the aviation sector.

IDAX-24 will feature a diverse array of products and technologies from across the industry. Attendees will have the chance to explore innovations from the Indian aviation sector, including contributions from Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), private industries, and leading startups.

The exposition is designed to showcase the capabilities and spirit of India's aviation industry to decision-makers and end users from global air forces participating in Tarang Shakti 2024. It will also provide a platform for friendly foreign nations to explore export opportunities and collaborate on co-production and co-development initiatives.

The IAF's Directorate of Aerospace Design (DAD) will collaborate with partner startups to present cutting-edge technologies. Exhibits will include solutions such as RF guns for countering unmanned aerial threats, High Altitude Pseudo Satellites (HAPS), loitering ammunition, air-launched flexible assets, AR/VR smart glasses for training, expandable active decoys, real-time aircrew health monitoring systems, and foldable field mats for rapid runway repairs.

IDAX-24 will serve as a key venue for connecting industrial partners in the aviation and defence sectors with the IAF’s Innovation Directorate, showcasing India's growing strength in aerospace technology.
