Rajnath Singh to launch 3-day 'Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv' today in Jhansi

Jhansi: Today (November 17), Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the three-day 'Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv' in Jhansi, a historic city in Uttar Pradesh's Bundelkhand area on the banks of the Pahuj River. The three-day celebration, which begins today, will culminate on November 19 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence.

According to sources, the Defence Minister will address the crowd after inaugurating the event at 1.30 p.m. at the 'Mukta Kashi Manch,' which is co-organizing the event with the Uttar Pradesh government. Rajnath Singh will thereafter open the Armed Forces Equipment Display and the Indian Air Force Air Show at Hathi Ground, as well as a number of other cultural events.

In the 'Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv' celebration, the Ministry of Defence is formally dedicating a number of schemes to the nation. The 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav' celebrations include these activities.

On November 19, the Prime Minister will dedicate and launch several new Ministry of Defence initiatives to the nation in a grand ceremony in the precincts of Jhansi Fort, which also happens to be the birthday of Rani Lakshmi Bai, the epitome of bravery and courage and a great National icon of Rashtra Raksha and India's Independence struggle.
