The reason for their arrogant determination to not allow the movie to be screened is that they feel Padmaavat insults the Rajput honour and besmirches the legacy of Queen Padmavati. The primary reason was the rumoured romantic scene between Queen Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, which the makers have refuted existed in the movie. The interesting bit is that none of the protestors have seen the movie and yet they want to assume that the movie will be insulting their Rajput culture.

However, one BJP leader has got the opportunity to watch Padmaavat and she is quite impressed with what she has seen. Madhavi Bhuta, the National Executive, BJP Mahila Morcha in-Charge of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. had watched the magnum opus and later, confessed that the movie actually does complete justice to the Rajput culture. Talking to a news channel, she insisted that the by not screening the movie, the protestors would be doing a great deal of injustice for the next generation.

This is what she had said, "Whoever is opposing must know that we are doing injustice to the next generation. While seeing the film, I was concentrating more on the dialogues that were coming. It (the movie) was so beautiful about Rajputs, we want to tell all Rajputs that this is your pride. You must take it to your next generation. I would like to say that, first you watch the film. The film, the story that it says, the way you (Rajputs) have been portrayed, I mean the Rajputs are the heroes. They are the people who really served the nation. Their patriotism and heroism, everything is beautifully said.
