Rajya Sabha to carry on discussions on Finance Bill 2022

NEW DELHI: The Rajya Sabha will resume debate on the 'Finance Bill 2022' and 'Appropriation Bill, 2022,' which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the day before. The two bills were moved for discussion as well as to be returned.

The Rajya Sabha business list said, "The Bill to permit payment and appropriation of specified sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of India for the financial year 2022-23, as enacted by the Lok Sabha, be taken into consideration."

"That the Bill to give effect to the budgetary plans of the Central Government for the financial year 2022-23, as voted by Lok Sabha, be taken into consideration," the list said of the Finance Bill. MPs Naresh Bansal and Vivek Thakur will each lay a copy (in English and Hindi) of the statements outlining the Centre's response to the observations and recommendations made by the department's Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour, Textiles, and Skill Development in the various reports on the table.

Rao Inderjit Singh, Shripad Yessor Naik, Krishan Pal, Pankaj chaudhary, Rameshwar Teli, Bhagwant Khuba, Bhagwat Karad, Bharati Pravin Pawar, Shantanu Thakur, and Munjapara Mahendrabhai, all Union Ministers, will lay documents relating to several Ministries.
