NEW DELHI: On Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha is expected to debate the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment's workings.

The Constitution (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) Orders (Amendment) Bill, which was moved by Union Minister Arjun Munda on Tuesday, will be discussed further in the Upper House.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Health, will propose a resolution to elect one member from within the House of Commons to the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry, to fill the gap left by N. Gokul's retirement.

In relation to Jharkhand, the Upper House will continue to debate the Bill to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 to remove the Bhogta community from the list of Scheduled Castes and the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950 to include certain communities in the lists of Scheduled Tribes.

Union Minister Ajay Kumar will make a statement on the status of the recommendations/observations contained in the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs' 230th Report on "Atrocities and Crimes against Women and Children."
