New Delhi: National spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union Rakesh Tikait, who is demanding withdrawal of 3 agricultural laws brought by the Central government, has announced that he will not visit his home on Diwali this year. He said, this Diwali, he will celebrate with the agitating farmers on the Delhi border. Tikait said the agitation will be revamped from the 27th of this month if the government does not comply with the demands of the farmers.

 

A video of Rakesh Tikait has been shared by BKU in which he is seen reporting on the condition of farmers in Bundelkhand. In this video, Rakesh Tikait is carrying a mic in his hand and goes to a farmer's house and shows his condition. Rakesh Tikait further said that the house of a seven-acre farmer has become dilapidated and there is no food. In view of the economic plight of the farmers of Bundelkhand, Tikait said, "How are they alive in this situation?"

On Tuesday, 2nd November, Rakesh Tikait had gone to the house of deceased farmers at Lalitpur in UP. In his two-day programme, he visited the farmers. He said no one is worried about the farmers of Bundelkhand. Here, the mafia is taking the rights of the farmers. Under compulsion, the farmer here is committed suicide.
