New Delhi: The farmers' agitation, which has lasted for more than a year, is over, with farmers evacuating all borders in Delhi and returning to their homes by Wednesday evening. Most of the farmers have also reached their homes. On the other hand, Rakesh Tikait, who is the leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and one of the main faces of the movement, got emotional when he left Ghazipur for home.

Talking to the media, Tikait was seen paying obeisance to his hut in which he had lived for a year. Rakesh Tikait said that I am going today, the people here will be missed a lot. He said, 'This hut will go like this, it will be installed in the village like this.' Meanwhile, Tikait became emotional while talking. He said that everyone is leaving from here slowly, only memories will remain. He said that the memories of this place will live on forever. Let us tell you that since the beginning of the Tikait movement, they lived on the borders of Delhi and since then they have not gone to their homes. He said that he has spent 13 months here.

Earlier, Rakesh Tikait had said that the farmers' agitation against agricultural laws has been postponed for now but has not been completely terminated as various issues are still being discussed with the Centre. I am grateful to all those who stayed with us, Tikait said. I also thank those who anchored, the villagers who brought us the necessary goods.
