New Delhi: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, who has been in the news for a year-long farmers' agitation in the national capital, has once again attacked the central government. Rakesh Tikait has said that a committee has not yet been formed by the central government on the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Tikait also spoke on the cases registered against farmers during the agitation.

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait reached Bajpur in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand on Wednesday. Speaking to the media here, Tikait said that during the farmers' agitation, there was a discussion with the government about the agreement on MSP. In this, the central government has so far only asked the Kisan Morcha for the names of the committee. Tikait further said that during the farmers' agitation, many agreements were signed with our government. There was also an agreement that the cases registered against the farmers would be withdrawn. The proposal on this was also made. But so far, only cases against farmers in Haryana and Punjab have been withdrawn. The cases registered against farmers of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have still not been withdrawn.

Rakesh Tikait further said that a delegation of farmers will discuss with the central government about the withdrawal of the case. Attacking the central government, Tikait said that the government is conspiring to file cases against them to suppress the farmer organisations. It will not be allowed to be completed at any cost. Tikait said that there is a need for a big movement in the country. For this, everyone has to come forward together.
