Ram Gopal Verma's 'Officer' release freeze by Bombay high court

Ram Gopal Verma was all set and looking for the release of the film that was scheduled for 25th of may 2018. The Telugu movie starring Nagarjuna Akkineni Myra Sarin as lead artists under the name ‘Officer’.

The director has been put on stay for the release of the movie by the Bombay High Court. An FIR was filed against the director on terms that he was supposed to pay an amount of 1.6 crores to them but failed to do so.YT entertainment complained about the issue saying that Ram Gopal Varma is not paying the money they had to by now.

The justice of the court put restraining orders on distributing, selling or transferring until any orders by the court.

The session was scheduled on may 4, on which Ram did not show up and the advocate in favor of Ram said that he won’t be able to be in the court today, he will be present on 7th may.

The dates were further put off to 7th of may.

Again he did not show up, instead, one of his co-producers came to the court and said they would be paying the amount before the release of the movie.

The opposition demanded Ram Gopal ’s presence on the same day but he still did not come, after which the court passed the restraining order on the film.
