Ayodhya: The Ram Janmabhoomi Pilgrimage Trust has convened an emergency meeting on Thursday. The meeting in Mumbai is being attended by General Secretary of the Trust Champat Rai, Treasurer Mahant Govinddev Giri Maharaj, and Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra. This is the first meeting of the trust after the land dispute came to light. The media has been kept away from the meeting for the time being. Where the meeting will be held in Mumbai has also been kept secret.

Other trustees besides Champat Rai, Giri Maharaj, and Anil Mishra are likely to attend the meeting. It is being reported that the trust's general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr. Anil Mishra are likely to take a stand on the land dispute. Dr. Krishna Gopal, co-head of the RSS, visited the Ram Janmabhoomi complex a few days ago. Though RSS has given a clean chit to the trust on the dispute, the trust has to come clean after several cases have come to light continuously. However, the Trust has said that the land has been purchased by it with full transparency. The land purchased has been taken at a price lower than the market price.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh has been continuously attacking the land purchase. He has accused several lands of buying several lands cheaply by BJP leaders and later selling them at expensive prices by submitting several documents one after the other. Today's meeting is likely to discuss the action to be taken against those who have accused the trust. The trust is also seeking legal advice on the defamation claim.
