Chaand Raat is the night just before the Eid, the sighting of moon marks the night as the ‘Chaand Raat’. 
The festival is celebrated by Muslims all over the world. The shopping and eating mark the start of the celebration of Eid. The month of Shawwal starts from the Chaand Raat. The first day of Shawwal is celebrated as Eid ul Fitr. 
Chaand Raat feels more like a fest where people celebrate the end of Ramadan like a fair. Chaand Raat at Eid-ul-Fitr is more widely recognized and celebrated than at Eid-al-Adha.

Most parts of northern India celebrated Chaand Raat but southern states like Andhra Pradesh which has higher Muslim population celebrate by calling major personalities for the celebration. There are fashion items, jewellery and food shops opened on the ground to celebrate the event.


Chaand Raat is basically the start of a new month of the Islamic calendar. 
This is the night of blessing for us for Muslims all over the world. Chand Raat is the festival which is quite popular in the world and its celebrations are must never be missed at all. Muslims celebrates the Eid-Ul-Fitr after the month of fasting "Ramadan"after sighting the moon of Shawwal.The moon of Shawwal makes the official announcement of the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
