With the return of Ramayana on Doordarshan in lockdown, all the stars of the serial are once again in the headlines. Along with this, Arun Govil, who plays Ram in the show, is the most discussed. But do you know, despite playing such a popular character, till date he has not been respected by any government. Along with this, the actor himself has revealed this through a tweet. In the meantime, Arun Govil revealed this during a question and answer from a portal on Twitter. When the portal asked Arun that he was not honored with any award after contributing to the world of fame, especially Ramayana.

Along with this, while giving an answer on this, Arun said- 'Whether there is a state government or a central government, no government has given me any respect today. I am from Uttar Pradesh but even that government has not given me any respect till date. And even I have been in Mumbai for fifty years, but the Government of Maharashtra has not given any respect. Despite his unique performance in Ramayana, the pain of not getting any respect is evident from these things of Arun. With this, Arun Govil worked in many films and serials even after playing the role of Ram in Ramayana. But Ramayana created such an identity that the other characters played by him could not be tickled in front of Ram.

For your information, let us tell you that Arun himself says that after working in Ramayana, his career was over. He says- 'I worked in many serials after Ramayana. But my Ram image was so dominant in the minds of people that I could never come out of that character. At the same time, I used to get films before Ramayana but could not find it later. With this, Arun Govil has come in for a lot of discussion since the Ramayana retellcast. Apart from them, Laxman i.e. Sunil Lahiri and Sita i.e. Deepika Chikhaliya are also in the headlines. Everyone has become quite active on social media. They keep telling their experiences during the shooting of Ramayana.
