Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana, one of the most powerful TV shows of the 80s, has once again telecasted on DD National. On Saturday, on 28 March, the telecast of 'Ramayana' was again started on the national channel of Doordarshan. The first episode of Ramayana aired at 9.00 am on Saturday and the second episode would air at 9.00 pm.  Today we'll tell you an anecdote related to Ram. Arun Govil played the role of Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana. Arun Govil liked this character so much that many people started considering him as an incarnation of Ram.

People used to touch his feet after seeing him in reality and took the name of Ram instead of his name. But Arun Govil was rejected earlier for the role of Lord Rama. In fact, some time ago, the star cast of Ramayana reached The Kapil Sharma show. During this time, many stories were revealed. Arun had told that he had previously worked in Ramanand Sagar's camp in some shows and films. When he got the information that Sagar Sahib was going to make Ramayana, he felt that he should become Ram, but things did not work out.

Arun said, 'I have gone to him (Ramanand). I said I want to play the role of Ram. Listening to me, he looked at me and said that it will be fine when the time comes. After this, when the right time came and he took my audition, I was rejected. After this I felt that now my dream of becoming Ram can never be fulfilled. Arun Govil further said, 'But something else was written in my fate. One day I received a call from Sagar Saheb. He asked me - what are you doing? I said nothing and he called me to meet him, when I went to meet him at his house, he said that our selection committee has decided that we cannot find a Ram like you".
