Bhopal: The Shivraj government in Madhya Pradesh has taken a very major decision. Under this, the Department of Higher Education has decided to teach Ramcharitmanas lessons in the first year of BA. According to media reports, the syllabus will include 'Practical Philosophy of Ramcharitmanas' from this session itself. It is said to have been placed in philosophy, which will have a 100 digit paper. It will not be necessary for all students but will remain optional.

 

Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav said that BA first-year students will now read the life philosophy of Ramcharitmanas. Professors of Philosophy will teach Ramcharitmanas to the students. He said that when the youth read Ramcharitmanas, they will have characters in them like Samita Purushottam Shriram. Lord Ram's character has a wonderful blend of art, literature. The minister said that with Lord Ram's philosophy, students can build their character. It will be optional, which is Hindi and philosophy subjects in the college.

In fact, under the New Education Policy 2020, Mahabharata, Ramcharitmanas, yoga and meditation have been included in the new first-year curriculum BA in colleges in the state. On the other hand, the foundation course in English will teach the first-year students the preamble of The Mahabharata of C. Rajagopalachari. In addition to English and Hindi, Yoga and Meditation have also been introduced as the third foundation course. This includes Om Dhyan.
