Mumbai: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale wants to become CM. He has said that he is keen to become the next CM of Maharashtra. Athawale also offered NCP chief Sharad Pawar to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Ramdas Athawale said in a press conference in Sangli, Maharashtra that nowadays everyone is in the race to become the CM.

However, this is possible only if one has a majority. He further said that since there is a lot of discussion on this. I want to tell that I also aspire to become the CM. He said, "If any such discussion goes on, then I am definitely ready to become the CM. But at present our government is stable and Eknath Shinde is working well. He works for 16 to 18 hours a day. He is an efficient Chief Minister." Athawale said, "Sharad Pawar has taught us politics. Experienced people like him should come to NDA. People from different ideologies, like George Fernandes and Nitish Kumar also came to NDA. Therefore, Pawar saheb should consider this proposal."

Pawar's nephew and NCP leader Ajit Pawar had said last week that he too aspires to become the CM of Maharashtra. Recently, RPI President Ramdas Athawale said that the condition of Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi is shaky. Whether he travels to India in pairs or creates ruckus over Rahul's loss of Lok Sabha membership, NDA is very strong under the leadership of Modi ji. Athawale also justified Sharad Pawar's statement in the Adani case. Discussing the connection between Adani and Prime Minister Modi, Athawale said that there is no relation between Modi and Adani. There is no need of JPC for Adani. Taunting the Congress, he said that the condition of the Congress is bad at present. But the NDA is very strong under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
