Ramki Enviro Engineers, an environmental management services company, has set up a plastic recycling center at JN Pharmacy near Paravada in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. The facility was inaugurated on Wednesday by Pendurthi MLA Annanreddy Adip Raj and Ramki Pharma City MD PP Lal Krishna.

"This is one of the largest plastic recycling plants in the South," said Ramki Reclamation and Recycling CEO Satish Cheeti. Plastic waste from industries as well as households is converted into high quality recycled plastic granules. These granules are used in the manufacture of plastic products and packaging. Situated on an area of three acres, the center can recycle one metric ton of plastic waste per hour. Machines for making plastic bags thicker than 51 microns are also available for use in a variety of purposes.
