Mumbai: Actor Rana Daggubati's film 'Hathi Mere Saathi' has been postponed across the country due to the outbreak of the dreaded coronavirus that is wreaking havoc around the world. The makers announced this on Monday. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the film was to be released in theaters across the country on April 2 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The statement issued by the manufacturers said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the interests and well-being of all. He said that in view of the havoc of Coronavirus, the decision to release 'Hathi Mere Saathi' has been postponed. The statement said that a new release date could be announced soon. Theaters, malls, schools, and gyms have been closed in many areas of Kerala, Delhi, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Haryana due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Actor Shahid Kapoor announced on Saturday that his film 'Jersey' team has postponed the shooting of the film in view of the coronavirus.
