Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra delayed due to VFX work

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is one of the much anticicpated film of the year. Ayan Mukerji, who has helmed Brahmastra, took to his Instagram handle, announcing that the film has been pushed to 2020. Initially, Khan's cop-drama, Dabangg 3 was set to lock horns with Brahmastra during Chrismas 2019 but now  Brahmastra is slated to release in 2020 and an official announcement about the final date will be made by the makers soon.

The filmmaker took to Instagram and  wrote, "In the past week, I have learnt all the teams working on the movie, led by my VFX teams, need more time in order to get the VFX right, to get the sound right and eventually the movie right. With that in mind, we are moving away from Christmas 2019 release as our goal for the release of the movie. Working towards the goal that could affect the most important goal- which is to create the best possible movie experience that Brahmastra can be. Our release is now slated for Summer 2020 but we will announce this officially once we are officially certain of the date."

Brahmastra stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles and will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.
