New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday attacked PM Narendra Modi for launching the second phase of Ujjwala Yojana saying blank selections should be avoided and LPG cylinders worth Rs 400 should be provided to the poor. Congress spokesperson Chief Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala alleged that the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG, and edible oil are on fire but the government is engaged in creating farce.

It may be recalled that PM Modi today launched the second phase of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana from Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. UP CM Yogi Adityanath attended the event in the Mahoba district. He distributed certificates to 10 beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana-2. Pm Modi also interacted with five beneficiaries of the first phase of Ujjwala Yojana at the online event.

Surjewala released a video saying, "The Modi government, which has served the darkness of price rise in people's homes, is again creating a cover for Ujjwala as soon as the elections come. Today, the price of LPG in Mahoba UP is Rs.888 per cylinder which was Rs.400 in the Congress government. Modiji, get out of the election campaign, provide Ujjwala to the poor for Rs. 400.''
