Rang Panchami is a festival of Hindu which celebrates after 5 days of Holi. It celebrates on Phalguna Krushnapaksha Panchami, It is festival of colours. This is more prevalent in Malwa region, specially in the cleanest city of India, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It also celebrates in many places like Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. It is the festival which is dedicated to gods and goddesses, it is started to spread positive energy around the world by using colours. It also says that Shri Krishna is said to have done Rasleela with gopis and celebrate the festival by playing with colours. People loves to play with colours on Holi as well as on Rang Panchami.


Indore is very famous for its Rang Panchami celebration, on this day Indories celebrate Panchami as much as enthusiasm as holi. Processions is taken out and people play with colours, Drink Thandai (Traditional drink made with bhang, milk and dry fruits), also eat different varieties of sweetes and snakes. Indore's Panchami is also know as gair or fag yatra which is organised by Indore people on every Rang Panchami. Thousands and lakhs people gather in front of historical building Rajbada and play Holi, the local municipal corporation sprinkles color water on people and they enjoy it, they used Fire Brigade vehicles for this purpose. While people playing Holi a Drone camera is also flying on the path of Gair and faag procession. It is the biggest colour fest of Indore, People gathered and dancing to popular bollywood songs and Trucks sprayed over 1000 kilos gulal and Water colours and people enjoys it very much. Rang Panchami is an agr old festival, which was celebrated during the Holkar region and continues to be till date. 


This year Rang Panchami is on Sunday, 12 March 2023. Panchami's Tithi will begin at 22:00 - 11 March 2023 and Tithi will end on 22:05 - 12 March 2023. Many rituals are also followed by many peoples, In temples of Vrindavan and Mathura they perform puja rituals to pay thnks to the divine god and make union between Krishna and Radha. 


There are also some things which to Remember during Rang Panchami like if we want Goddess to give wealth so we have to perform Lakshami puja, also offers light ghee lamp and flowers. There is also a saying that spritual forces are more than destuctive powers on the day of Rang Panchami.
