Rani Mukerji's first Bollywood feature movie 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat' has been out for more than 25 years. While reliving old memories amidst a witness, Rani had said that after the release of this movie, she started facing a family crisis.
Rani Mukerji has said, "My most memorable thing is being told on the day of the release of 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat,' when my father (late filmmaker Ram Mukherjee) was going to undergo a bypass operation. He was admitted to Breach Candy and was not willing to go for the operation. He wanted to wait for the release of my movie. I told him at that time that it was very important that he should have surgery."
Rani has further said, "He went for a surgery and was unconscious in the ICU for about a day or two. When he recovered and regained consciousness, the first thing he asked about was the release of the movie. He asked how the movie went." Rani says that her father cried after seeing her performance in the movie. Directed by Ashok Gaikwad, the 1996 film 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat' was based on the sensitive theme of rape. Media reports say that Rani is currently busy preparing for her new film 'Mardani-3.' Two parts of this film have been released. Earlier, Rani Mukerji was seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2.
