New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is seen getting into trouble due to the rhetoric on freedom fighter Veer Damodar Savarkar. Now Veer Savarkar's grandson Ranjit Savarkar has claimed a defamation case against him. While talking to the media, Ranjit Savarkar has said that Rahul Gandhi's statement is unfortunate. He will meet CM Uddhav Thackeray and demand action against Rahul Gandhi. He has said that he will also file a defamation suit in the High Court.

Ranjit Savarkar has further said that Hindutva issue is the backbone of Shiv Sena. In politics and principles, Shiv Sena should support the principles and not with the Congress to save the government. Veer Savarkar's grandson Ranjit has said that the Shiv Sena should get the Congress out of the government. He has said that Rahul will send a book based on Savarkar's life to Gandhi so that he can get more information about Savarkar.

Ranjit Savarkar has termed Rahul Gandhi's statement as unfortunate. He has said that it has given a statement, according to the tradition of his family's lineage. Earlier, Jawaharlal Nehru gave a similar statement about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He was called a marauder, then apologized. He said that Rahul Gandhi will also have to apologize. We will claim defamation in the High Court.
