The film is a biopic of former captain Kapil Dev. In this film, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev. Ranveer Singh has shared a new logo poster of the film on his social media, in which the name of the film is written as '83'. He shared the poster and wrote, 'It's coming.'

The story of the film is based on the 1983 World Cup. Through the film, the audience is going to get a chance to live the 1983 World Cup once again. Many of Ranveer Singh's looks from the film have appeared in the media, in which he is appearing as Kapil Dev in a perfect manner. Fans are very fond of this look of Ranveer, and are eagerly waiting for the film. Ranveer Singh has also trained with Kapil Dev for the film.

The film also stars R Badri, Hardy Sandhu, Amy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem, Chirag Patil, Tahir Bhasin, Sahil Khattar. The special thing is that Deepika Padukone is also going to appear in this film. Deepika is going to play the role of Ranveer's wife in the film. The film is directed by Kabir Khan. Kapil Dev's daughter Amia is about to debut as assistant director from this film. The film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Deepika Padukone.
