"83" is a biopic of the cricket fame Kapil Dev and is based on the 1983 World Cup. Actor Ranveer is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the movie. Sunil Gavaskar's character will be played by Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib will play Saleem Mohinder Amarnath, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Hardy Sandhu as Madan Lal, and Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil. The film will also feature Deepika Padukone alongside Ranveer Singh. Significantly, many such movies based on sports have already been released, including Chak De India, Freaky Ali, MS Dhoni, and Soorma.
