Lucknow: Charges can be framed on March 4 against former minister Chinmayananda alias Krishnapal, accused in the rape case with LLM student. On Wednesday, Chinmayanand appeared in the MP-MLA court. During this time, the accused demanded a 15-day time to apply for release from the charges. On this, Special Judge Pawan Kumar Rai refused to give time and fixed the date of March 4 for hearing the case.

The application has been told on behalf of the accused that he wants to give a petition seeking to be released from the charges in this case, but the file is quite large. Along with this, he has not been given a copy of all the necessary papers from the lower court and the file has not been properly observed. For this reason, the redemption application could not be prepared. In this case, 15 days' deferment should be given to prepare the application.

The court, after hearing the application on March 4, said that the High Court, while granting bail to the accused in the case, ordered that the trial be completed within one year of the accused's release on bail. Therefore, if the accused wants to file a discharge application, he can give it before the date or only on the date. Thereafter, the accused will not be given a chance to file a discharge and charges will be framed on the accused.
