Dehradun: A woman constable posted there has alleged rape against a soldier working in the ITBP. A designated case has been registered in the city of Kotwali on the directions of the SSP. Police have also formed a team to treat the victim and take the culprit into custody. The criminal is absconding and police are looking for him at all possible locations.

Order to register a case against a criminal: City Kotwal Girish Chandra Sharma has said that a woman constable of ITBP has alleged rape against Constable (GD) Mohan Singh Danu working in the combat wing of ITBP Academy. According to the complaint, the rape took place on December 5. The information of which also reached the Senior Superintendent of Police/Deputy Inspector General of Police.

They have immediately issued orders to the city Kotwali police to register a case against the accused. A police team was formed to register a case under sections of rape and take the accused into custody. Another victim has also undergone medical treatment. The police are still waiting for the medical report. The action has been taken against Pinki Panwar, Women Sub Inspector, Cantt police station. Since the case is related to ITBP Academy, efforts are also being made to contact the ITBP administration. An attempt was made to take sides with the officials of the Combat Wing of the ITBP Academy in this regard but they could not be contacted.
