Chandigarh: Rapid Metro will continue its services in Gurugram of Haryana adjoining Delhi. The Punjab Haryana High Court on Wednesday (September 18) ordered a continuation of the Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram South Limited (RMGSL) decision to terminate the Rapid Metro Rail project and continue services on both lines till further orders. The High Court has set the next hearing on September 20 for the case.

During the hearing on Wednesday (September 18), the Haryana Urban Development Authority was told that they have signed an agreement with the Delhi Metro Corporation to run the project. On this, from the Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram Limited, it was said that according to the agreement, if the authorities repay 80% of the loan taken from banks and audit how much money has come through the project, then they are ready to continue the metro services for the next one month.

Let us tell you that this matter is under consideration in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal. About 60 thousand people travel daily on this route. On behalf of Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited, a petition was filed stating that in the agreement with them it was determined that they would operate from Delhi Metro Sikanderpur station on MG Road to Sector 56 of Gurugram.
