On this, wildlife expert Kamal Devkota says that "This turtle has religious and cultural importance in Nepal". Apart from this, the people of Nepal also believe that "Lord Vishnu has stepped on earth to save the earth disguised as a turtle".

Devkota said "According to Hindu belief, the upper shell of the turtle is considered to be the sky and the lower shell is the earth". Experts also talked about this. They say, "Nepal has the first golden-coloured turtle and only five such turtles have been found across the world. This is an unusual discovery. Wildlife expert Kamal Devkota says that the conditions created by genetics have a bad effect on nature. Despite this, these creatures are precious to all of us".
