Rare white fungus found in brain of a corona-cured patient, doctors stunned

A patient who recovered from a corona from Hyderabad has a rare case of white fungus or aspergillus abscess in his brain. The patient recovered from corona in May this year. The patient, who recovered from corona, began to find it difficult to speak a few days later. The doctors then scanned the patient's brain. This showed that the patient has clotting-like symptoms which did not subside even after taking the medicine. It was only after surgery that the doctors found that the white fungus had formed an abscess in the patient's brain.

Doctors pointed out that the case is unique because white fungus forms an abscess in his brain. This virus is after recovering from the corona. Fungal infections are commonly found in corona patients when diabetic. Giving more details about the treatment conditions, Dr. P. Ranganadham said that patients had started complaining of weakness in limbs and difficulty in speaking due to the peak of the second wave of corona on the sixth day of their hospitalization.

At the same beginning, he said that the patient was treated for hematoma, but after a few days of MRI of the patient's brain, it was found that the size of the wound was very large. Doctors termed the disease as aspergillosis. Aspergillosis is an infection caused by a type of mold. Diseases caused by aspergillosis infection generally affect the respiratory system, but their symptoms and severity may vary.
